League of Women Voters — Secretary of State forum (Fayetteville)

Official invitation from Michelle Wolchok, president of the League of Women Voters of Washington County: Thursday, October 8, 2026, 5:30–7:30 p.m., Fayetteville Public Library, Walker Community Room (3rd floor), 401 West Mountain Street. The library’s public listing calls this “Secretary of State Office & Statewide Ballot Initiative.” It is a League candidate forum, not a debate or town hall, and not a campaign rally. The League does not support or oppose any candidate or party. A neutral moderator gives qualifying candidates equal time on the Secretary of State’s office and issues for Washington County voters. Candidates should plan on about 60 minutes on stage inside the two-hour program. The League plans an informational session on the three legislatively referred constitutional amendments before or after that window. A formal participation agreement and media release will come before the event. The library says the forum is free, open to the public, and livestreamed. Cross County Farm Bureau’s Meet the Candidates is the same evening in Wynne (doors 6:00 p.m., program 6:45). Fayetteville and Wynne are not a same-evening pair.
