AME East Conference — politics and the church (Pine Bluff)

The African Methodist Episcopal Church’s **East Conference** hosts a session on a new approach to discussing **politics and the church**. Bishop **Silvester S. Beaman**, presiding prelate of the 12th Episcopal District (Arkansas and Oklahoma), presides. **Steve will attend. Kelly will not attend.** This is **not a speaking engagement**. The program is for introductions and questions about current issues and candidates. The host asks that **pastors and ministers know each candidate**. This is a **church-hosted** conference session, not a campaign rally. The conferences are also asking churches for volunteer help with **voter registration**, **poll watching**, and **Souls to the Polls**.
